Multimedia
Motion graphics is perhaps the most powerful way to clearly illustrate complex concepts. With a perfectly timed animation, just about any message can be made compelling and memorable to your audience.
Motion graphics is by far my favorite multimedia form because of the ummatched freedom available. This is the only art form where it's possible to create virtually anything from scratch; making it easy and fun to convey information in new and imaginative ways.
I am a highly experienced user of Adobe After Effects and for the last five years have been actively producing compelling motion graphics for churches, advertising agencies, and companies.
Videography
Just about any group, mission or organization will benefit from a well-produced video. Videography is exciting because it captures the real world around us in a way that no other medium can, allowing your audience to see and hear your message as if they were there. This powerful medium brings your message alive in a uniquely authentic way.
I've studied the art of videography for nearly a decade, through a combination of self-study, classroom instruction, and internships with industry professionals.
I independently produced this video to the right in the fall of 2009, traveling to Oregon & Vermont, filming interviews and editing ~25 hours of footage to produce this short film about a life-changing camp for unschoolers. Learn more.
Web design
Another key to any effective message is a fantastic website. A great site design instantly gives visitors an overview of your organization, and directs them quickly to exactly what they want to learn next.
With a custom design, your website is uniquely you and immediately conveys your purpose through meaningful graphics.
I've been designing and programming websites for well over a decade, and am well versed in Photoshop, HTML/CSS and PHP/MySQL programming. I am also the creative director for a content management system ocPortal, responsible for system-wide interface design and creative direction.
